Video Tutorial: Ukiyo-e

cover-ukeyoeThis video tutorial is a part of a workshop series Gerilya Project, and was guided by Eddi Prabandono, an artist who had done a lot of graphic and installation works. Ukiyo-e is a Japanese wood etching technique that developed during Edo era. This technique was used to duplicate paintings of scenery, nature and daily lives of the Japanese peopl ein that era. In Japanese “ukiyo” means “contemporary”, while “e” means “drawing” or “painting”.
