This is a documentation of public art that is critical, but employs aesthetic and artistic strategies, as well as euphemistic, like the Yogyakarta public. The plan to build eight shopping malls in Yogyakarta was well known, either through news coverage in various media, both print and electronic, as well as in daily conversations among the people. Later controversies appeared beginning from tensions between cultural and social values, violated procedures, lack of AMDAL (Environmental Impact Analysis) and Building Permits, to the destruction of cultural heritage buildings. This documentation presents the work and actions of 40 artists from 11 to 13 October 2004. This event was held in collaboration with KERUPUK, Jogja Heritage Society, Senthir, IVAA, KKF, Ikatan Mahasiswa Arsitektur Yogyakarta, Bonang Foundation, Bentara Budaya Yogyakarta, Karta Pustaka, Juru Potret Peduli Jogja.
